Delegates in the Bibiani- Anhwiaso-Bekwai constituency have expressed great confidence in the competence of Alfred Obeng-Boateng and, hence are ready to elect him as the Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency.
The delegates who have expressed their support for Alfred Obeng-Boateng touted his achievements as the main reasons for their support.
They believe that Alfred Obeng-Boateng will emerge as the next parliamentary candidate for 2024 and subsequently win the seat for the NPP.
Speaking in an interview, the majority of the delegates noted with confidence that Alfred Obeng-Boateng is the best bet to win the Bibiani-Anhwianso-Bekwai constituency seat for the NPP.
They listed what they described as the top 25 achievements of Alfred Obeng-Boateng in the area by indicating that he has provided 27 mechanized boreholes, 1000 furniture to schools, 100 scholarships to students through the Common Fund, GNPC, and the Scholarship Secretariat, GeTFUND, and e-learning facilities which are under construction with ICT centers.
They noted that he has also provided KG1&2 Blocks with offices, and six-unit primary school block, and a three-unit JHS block in the constituency.
They listed the rest as; “Renovation of Wenchi JHS block, Manse JHS, Humjibre Anglican school and supported the construction of Koroboano KG and Aboabo JHS etc.
“Supported Bibiani College of Health with GHC20,000.00 during the incidence of fire outbreak at the school, payment of individual school fees and hostel fees for several students donated 110 KVA plant to Bibiani Govt hospital, CHPS Compound at Aboabo, a Clinic at Adobewura, Midwifery unit at Ashiam and female ward at Merewa.
He has also donated “Ultra-Morden hospital beds to Chirano and Bethlehem health centers, paid individuals’ hospital bills, provided 13-seater water closet toilet facilities and 4-seater water closet toilet facilities, renovated Bekwai Zongo toilet and Subiri Nkwanta toilet facilities.”
Under roads, he supported the Reshaping and Sectional Regravelling of all feeder roads in the constituency in 2021, Reshaping and Sectional Regravelling of Pataboso Nkwanta to Kumkumso Feeder Roads, Asawinso to Nkronua Feeder Roads, Chirano to Adiembra to Bekwai Feeder Roads, Sonkoli, Axle Road, Atwima and Bankromisa Feeder Roads in 2023.
There is also the “Bituminous Surfacing of Tanoso Town Roads, Tanoso to Adupiri Road, Adupiri Town Roads, Bituminous Surfacing of Awaso Town Roads, Rehabilitation of Afamu villages and Farm Roads.”
Alfred Obeng has also donated brand new Nissan hard body pick-up vehicles to police services, provided street lights to every community, Supported Fire Service in fixing their Fire Fighting Tender, provided 1,200 sewing machines and hair dyers to young entrepreneurs, trained and offered jobs to over 100 youth in mining and construction and civil works to become road contractors.
“Supply of 300,000 oil palm seedlings and 45,000 rubber seedlings and employed over 500 in the security services, Local Government, GES, BOST, ECG, COCOBOD, Forestry Commission, YEA, etc, launched greener pastures programme in which 15 people benefit, donated GHC50, 000 to support to Bibiani Gold Stars SC, supply jerseys and footballs to all communities and helped in the land reclamation where 500 hectares of land have been reclaimed.”
These enviable achievements have earned him the trust of the delegates who are sure of ensuring his victory during the primaries and subsequently winning the seat overwhelmingly for the NPP.
